For API 5L Line Pipe Grade B PSL 2 pipe, the steel shall be killed and made according to fine grain practice.
The strip or plate used for the manufacture of API 5L Line Pipe Grade B PSL 2 pipe shall not contain any repair welds.
The width of the strip or plate used for the manufacture of helical seam pipe shall not be less than 0,8 times or more than 3,0 times the specified outside diameter of the pipe.
Any lubricant that contaminates the weld bevel or the surrounding areas shall be removed before making the longitudinal seam welds of SAWL or COWL pipes or the helical seam welds of SAWH or COWH pipes.
